Caribbean Studies Gets NEH Grant
The Caribbean Studies Program has been awarded a three-year NEH grant to develop a team-taught interdisciplinary course and digital library to investigate shared connections between Afro-diasporan liberation movements in the USA and the Caribbean. The course, 'Afro-Diasporic Circuits of Liberation (USA and Caribbean)' will be a capstone for the interdisciplinary Caribbean Studies Minor and will form part of the general education requirements in COAS. Its flexible assessment modalities will also allow it to be cross listed to fulfill other program needs within COAS, including those of the Honors Program; the departments of English, Philosophy, History, and Afro-American Studies; and the Chadwick Boseman College of Fine Arts.
